One moment changed everything. As an Assisted Living Executive Director, I watched Maggie sit on the bench outside my office for days, waiting for a puppy that would never arrive. She’d paid $900 to a caller who said he was a breeder and had promised to deliver her a puppy.
Seeing her heartbreak pushed me to dedicate myself to helping seniors protect their money, and their dignity, from scammers. It turned my stomach and lit a fire in me.

A Career Devoted to Protecting Seniors Started Early
Every Sunday, my mom brought me and my sisters to the local retirement community, where we’d race down the halls in our Sunday dresses to hug the residents. Ms. Abbie smelled like lilacs and mints, and she was my favorite. Those visits sparked my lifelong passion for senior living.
That early love led me to earn my MBA in Health Care Administration, become a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator and Assisted Living Executive Director, and a Certified Dementia Practitioner. I’ve spent my career ensuring seniors are not only cared for, but also safe from harm.
