For more than two decades, I’ve walked alongside seniors and families during some of life’s most difficult transitions.
As a licensed Senior Living Executive Director, I’ve guided hundreds of families through the emotional journey of aging, loss, relocation, and grief.
Not from behind a desk, but in the quiet moments before, during, and after difficult goodbyes.
Over the years, I’ve seen how often grief goes unspoken. Seniors lose spouses, siblings, lifelong friends, and sometimes independence itself, yet many carry that grief quietly.
I’ve seen firsthand what seniors and their families experience in the days and weeks following a loss, when the phone stops ringing, the services are over, and the quiet begins to set in.
I created The Listening Bench: A Gentle Place to Sit with Your Grief. A complimentary monthly column that offers a gentle, relatable voice that reminds seniors and their families they're not alone.
It blends professional insight with human compassion and thoughtful support delivered in words that feel like a caring conversation you'd have with a friend on a park bench.
This monthly column is complimentary to communities that serve seniors.
I partner with local services that support seniors to provide the monthly grief-support column to strengthen community connection, support emotional well-being, and help seniors feel seen and understood during difficult seasons.
CREDENTIALS & CAREER HIGHLIGHTS
After more than 20 years serving seniors and families as a licensed senior living executive and national speaker, I’m grateful to continue to walk alongside them during times of grief and loss.
