For more than two decades, I’ve walked alongside seniors and families during some of life’s most difficult transitions.
As a licensed Senior Living Executive Director, I’ve guided hundreds of families through the emotional journey of aging, loss, relocation, and grief.
Over the years, I’ve seen how often grief goes unspoken. Seniors lose spouses, siblings, lifelong friends, and sometimes independence itself, yet many carry that grief quietly.
I’ve seen firsthand what seniors and their families experience in the days and weeks following a loss, when the phone stops ringing, the services are over, and the quiet begins to set in.
I created The Listening Bench: A Gentle Place to Sit with Your Grief. A complimentary column that offers a gentle, relatable voice that reminds seniors and their families they're not alone. It also helps guide them in transitions to senior living where they can envision a new life after a loss.
It blends professional insight with human compassion and thoughtful support delivered in words that feel like a caring conversation you'd have with a friend on a park bench.
I also collaborate with trusted local service providers who serve seniors to offer thoughtful Preplanning workshops designed to help seniors feel informed, prepared, and in control of their legacy. These seminars are rooted in service, creating a safe, supportive space where attendees can ask questions, explore their options, and make decisions with clarity and confidence.
Many who attend are navigating life after the loss of a spouse or facing the emotional and practical realities of a new chapter. Whether they're considering a move into senior living or simply wanting to ease the burden on their families, these workshops provide a sense of stability during times of transition.
By guiding seniors through preplanning in a compassionate and empowering way, I help them replace uncertainty with peace of mind so they can move forward feeling confident that their wishes are known, their plans are in place, and their legacy is truly their own.
CREDENTIALS & CAREER HIGHLIGHTS
After more than 20 years serving seniors and families as a licensed senior living executive and national speaker, I’m grateful to continue to walk alongside them during times of later life choices, transitions, grief and loss.
